Hotel Casa Blanca is located in downtown Mexico City in the political, economic and cultural center, a very short distance from two of the city's main thoroughfares, Paseo de la Reforma and Juarez Avenue.  It is about 15 minutes (10 km) from the International Benito Juarez Airport and 70 kilometers from Toluca International Airport. The hotel is within walking distance to many important places visitors must see to have the best Mexican cultural and historical experience.  There are a wide variety of tourist sites within reach of the hotel, including monuments and historical buildings, museums, exposition centers, department stores, shopping centers, restaurants, government offices and embassies. One block away is the Turibus which visitors can board for a tour of the city. Zocalo, the center of the city, is five minutes away and the city's four main bus terminals are all within 10 to 15 minutes.

Palace of Fine Arts

The Palace of Fine Arts is one of the city's finest theaters and performance venues.Its Art Deco Lobby is an attraction in itself with murals painted by Tamayo, Siqueiros, Rivera and Orozco. The National Folkloric Ballet performs routinely in this magnificent building. Please note the Tiffany glass curtain, it is a must.

National Palace

Located on the entire east side of the main plaza, also called Zocalo. This building was formerly the Viceroy's Palace and features some impressive Diego Rivera frescoes depicting Mexican history. Important to note:Visitors must show ID to enter the building. 

Chapultepec Park

Chapultepec Park and Zoo Paseo de la Reforma is a large park in the middle of the city and host to many attractions, including the City Zoo and several museums. Located in the park are the Modern Art Museum, the Museum of Anthropology, the Children's Museum (Museo del Papalote), the Technology Museum, the Natural History Museum and the National Museum, also known as Castillo de Chapultepec, which is the former residence of the Austrian Emperor Maximilian of Habsburg. The park is one of the green areas of the city.

National Museum of Anthropology

The National Museum of Anthropology Chapultepec is one of the best museums worldwide, built in the late 1960's and designed by Pedro Ramírez Vázquez.Do not miss its impressive fountain. The museum has a superior collection of sculptures, jewels and handcrafts from ancient Mexican cultures.

Franz Mayer Museum

The finest Decorative Arts museum in Mexico, and one of the finest of its kind in the world. Here you can discover how Mexican people lived, workshipped and worked. The collection includes paintings, silver and sculptures, to name a few.

Metropolitan Cathedral

One of the largest Christian temples in the world which took over three centuries to build. The building is comprised of different styles from the Baroque to the Neoclassical periods. A must if you want to have glimpse into the soul of the Mexican society.

Plaza de la Constitución (Zócalo)

The second largest plaza of its kind in the world, surrounded by magnificent buildings that represent the Federal and City govenrments, as well as religion and commerce. It has been the heart of Mexico City since its inception.

Great Temple (Templo Mayor)

Located next to the Cathedral, visitors can take a fascinating look into how the remains of the ancient Aztec culture are buried underneath a bustling 21st century metropolis.

Canals in Xochimilco

Xochimilco, an important flower-growing neighborhood located south of the city which is filled with canals, is the last remnant of what Mexico City was when the Spanish arrived.

Teotihuacan Pyramids

Definitely one of the Wonders of the World, which leaves visitors speechless. An ancient city planned according to astronomical knowledge. A place where main buildings are devoted to the Sun and to the Moon. During the Equinox and Solstices, workshippers dressed in white gather here. The city will give you an idea of how Ancient Native Cultures in Mesoamerica evolved and reached levels of knowledge that we are just beginning to understand.
