ART GALLERY OF SOUTH AUSTRALIA
The Art Gallery holds one of Australia's finest arts collections, housed in one of Adelaide's most beautiful historic buildings. It is centrally located on leafy North Terrace between the South Australian Museum and the Univeristy of Adelaide and has been an important cultural focus since it's establishment in 1881. Only 45 years after the first European settlers arrived. The Elder Wing, the original building, was designed in 1897 and was opened early in 1900s.
HAHNDORF
Hahndorf is Australia's oldest original German settlement located in the picturesque Adelaide Hills. It was settled in 1839 by East German Migrants, and the early slab and mud brick buildings are now contrasted with many solid stone structures contributing to Hahndorfs unique history and charm.Stroll along the tree lined main street, where many heritage buildings have become craft shops, galleries, hotels cafes and bakeries.Much of the old German influence is discovered in Hahndorf.

CLARE VALLEY
Nestled within the South Australian bush land, the vineyards of the Clare Valley are some of Australia's finest. Clare Valley is situated in the Mount Lofty Ranges, 140km north of Adelaide . Harvest time is early March to late April, and this region features a mix of large companies and also Boutique Wineries. Tours run frequently to the Clare Valley, it can also easily be accessed by the main highway out of Adelaide.
BAROSSA VALLEY
The Barossa Valley is located north of Adelaide, and is approximately 45 minutes drive. It boasts Premium Wines, fine restaurants, magnificent wineries and cellar doors, beautiful old churches and is surrounded by vineyards and undulating hills. Many events are held in the Barossa Valley, the Vintage Festival is not to be missed. Many of the wineries have scenic outdoor picnic areas, and the main town Tanunda has a visitor and information centre supplying maps and locations of each winery.
KANGAROO ISLAND
Kangaroo Island is the third largest island off the coast of Australia. It is 155km long and 55 km wide. It is an area of outstanding natural beauty. More than half the island has never been cleared of vegetation therefore there is an abundance of wildlife. Kangaroo island provides many recreational activities for tourists such as fishing and scuba diving. Visitors can easily reach Kangaroo Island by sea or air. A 30 minute flight brings visitors to Kingscote Airport, and the Sealink Ferry operates from Cape Jervis on the mainland over to Penneshaw. Vehicles are able to be ferried to the island and there are 1600km of sealed roads. Many tours operate to Kangaroo Island, and highlights of the island are Seal Bay, Remarkable Rocks and Flinders Chase National Park.
GLENELG/HOLDFAST SHORES
Glenelg is the premier location for tourists being Adelaide's Beaschside resort suburb. Long, white sandy beaches are clean and safe, and there are many shopping attractions along the main road "Jetty Road" featuring a jetty at the western end. Catch the tram from the city and the journey is approximately 25 minutes. Glenelg features many popular wine bars and restaurants. The Holdfast Shores waterfront development is a major marina, residential, commercial and tourism development on the foreshore at Glenelg. This precinct offers a variety of restaurants, specialty shopping and sailing tours.
MCLAREN VALE/FLEURIEU PENINSULA
The temperate climate, central highlands and coastal fringes of the McLaren Vale and Fleurieu Peninsula region offers wine, wildlife and water in delightful abundance. Featuring 60 Cellar Door Wineries, many with restaurants attached the region provides the opportunity to taste some of Australia's most exciting wines and cuisines. Australian wildlife presents itself to the visitor, Kangaroos can be seen in the national parks, Penguins are found nesting on Granite Island at Victor Harbor, and the Coorong National Park is famous for its migratory waders. Winter migrations of the Southern Right Whales are seen along the coastlines of the Peninsula. RUNDLE STREET/THE EAST END
The East End of the CBD along Rundle Street is a very popular retail and dining precinct. The East End Markets are a feature, along with the Fringe Festival and V8 Car Race being popular events in the area. There are many popular bars and clubs on Rundle Street, along with very fashionable boutiques. It is a great place for Al Fresco dining.
