Harbour Plaza 8 Degrees is ideally located near the former Kai Tak Airport in the Tokwawan district of Kowloon, an area slated to be the new upcoming vicinity in Hong Kong. The hotel is just fifteen minutes away from Kowloon Bay, Kwun Tong shopping and entertainment areas as well as the bustling commercial and industrial districts of Tsimshatsui. For easy accessibility and convenience, the hotel offers a complimentary hotel shuttle bus with regular service to and from the MTR Hunghom Station. Luxe Top 10 Must See Attractions

Victoria Peak

Victoria Peak offers beautiful hilltop views of Kowloon across the Victoria harbor with the Hong Kong Island skyline in the foreground.

Tsimshatsui Waterfront

A beautiful and romantic evening stroll along the waterfront offers picturesque views of the skyline of Hong Kong Island across the harbor. This is also the place to view the Symphony of Lights laser show.

“Ladies’ Market,” Mong Kok

“Ladies’ Market” or “Ladies’ Street” is the place to shop for clothing and other soft goods, including dolls, small rugs, towels and potpourri, although there are also watches and other goods to be found.

Stanley

Located in the southern part of Hong Kong Island, Stanley is a dry market frequented by tourists, which offers typical souvenirs from the area and other unlikely things (like ski suits). You can even get a Chinese stone seal made with your Chinese name engraved on it.

Repulse Bay

Among all of the Hong Kong beaches, Repulse Bay is the most famous. Although the name in English sounds like “repulsive,” the beach is certainly not. Its name was derived from the days of old when a British army chased off pirates from the Bay. The Chinese name, which means “Shallow Water Bay,” is much more descriptive.

Mong Kok

A visit in the evening is a picture on a typical Hong Kong postcard. With all of the shop signs lit up in a variety of colored neon lights in Chinese, it is a sight to behold. Located in the heart of Kowloon, it is accessible by the MTR. It is said to be the most densely populated area in the world, which is a fact you will not deny once you set foot on streets like Sai Yueng Choi Street South.

Central District

The Central District offers visitors a chance to see the rustic Legislative Council Building, the War Memorial, City Hall, the 50 story high Jardine House with its round windows, the Central Post Office, Chater Garden, and the Mandarin Oriental hotel. The old Star Ferry Pier was also here, but has since been moved to make room for construction and harbor reclamation.

Hong Kong Disneyland

This world famous theme park is a 45 minute drive from the hotel.

Ocean Park

Ocean Park is perfect for kids with rides to let them release their excess energy and shows, like the Dolphin-Great White Show, to keep them entertained. There is also a cozy family size gondola ride to view the park from mid air.

Sheung Wan District

The Sheung Wan District offers visitors the opportunity to see shops and buildings that have retained a trace of old Hong Kong. Stroll around on the side streets of Sheung Wan to the south of Des Voeux Road. This is also the area to buy shark's fins and bird's nests - minus their original owners.
