Luxe Hotels, a Trusted Name Among Independent Boutique Hotels
In 1983, inspired by the opportunity to purchase what is now the 163-room Luxe Sunset Boulevard Hotel, Efrem Harkham was faced with a challenge. The “diamond in the rough,” property, despite its location and 7 acres of lush land in the heart of L.A.’s trendy Westside, and regardless of which name-brand franchise was operating it, could not generate financial stability. He met that challenge head on, by creating his own brand, Luxe Hotels, to bring back the idea of genuine hospitality. Within one year, Harkham propelled the property from toward its current success and recognized status.
In 1998, Efrem Harkham launched Luxe Worldwide Hotels, currently renamed L.E. Hotels, as a hospitality representation company, to power his brand globally. By developing his own team of experts in sales, marketing, revenue management and distribution services, he was able to grow his own hotel and offer exceptional expertise to other independent hoteliers. Membership in the global collection of hotels was designed to maintain the personalized nature of the services each property receives and now includes the Luxe Collection, a premier group of L.E. Hotels that have achieved the highest quality of service and are highly ranked by guests.
Fueled by this early success and his passion for the hospitality business, Harkham purchased the Luxe Rodeo Drive Hotel in Beverly Hills. The 88-room elegantly designed property is the only hotel on the famed Rodeo Drive and caters to the fashion and entertainment communities.
Today, Luxe Hotels includes both corporately owned properties, Luxe Rodeo Drive Hotel in Beverly Hills and the Luxe Sunset Boulevard Hotel in Bel Air, as well a branded property, the Luxe City Center Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles.
Headquartered in Los Angeles, California, the Luxe Hotels company merges more than 100 years of management experience with focused attentiveness to its customer needs and membership demands.
